Have a question?

How do I secure my emails with a PIN?

The PIN field is only used if a user's application rights for a particular text service require the user to either enter or use a PIN.

Currently, the only service that can make use of a PIN is TextMail. The use of the PIN with this service is entirely optional.

To activate the PIN security service for a user, you need to login to your account, click on the TextEmail tab, choose the TextMail OPTIONS left-hand menu option, and set the PIN PROTECTION setting to YES.

If you choose to activate the PIN service with TextMail, then a user would send their email to phonenumber.PIN@sms.textapp.net, for example.

The PIN field is a mandatory field for each user (regardless of whether the PIN is used or not), and must be set to a four digit numeric value.

A user can set their PIN value from the MY PROFILE area of their user account.
