TextAnywhere Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

1. Introduction

Corporate Social Responsibility is about how organisations address the social, environmental, and economic impacts of their operations, and so help to meet their sustainable development objectives.

2. Purpose

TextAnywhere. seeks to be a good corporate citizen in all aspects of its operations and activities. To this end, we have brought together a series of Operating Principles to serve as a guide to employees in all aspects of their work for our organisation.

Through our Foundation we commit to give back 1% of our corporate resources each year to not-for-profit organisations that support local communities and national causes.

3. Operating Principles

  • We recognise that we must integrate our business values and operations to meet the expectations of our stakeholders. They include customers, employees, regulators, investors, suppliers, the community and the environment.
  • We recognise that our social, economic and environmental responsibilities to these stakeholders are integral to our business. We aim to demonstrate these responsibilities through our actions and within our corporate policies.
  • We take seriously all feedback that we receive from our stakeholders and, where possible, maintain open dialogue to ensure that we fulfil the requirements outlined within this policy.
  • We shall be open and honest in communicating our strategies, targets, performance and governance to our stakeholders in our continual commitment to sustainable development.
  • We shall strive to improve our environmental performance through implementation of our Environmental Policy.
  • We shall ensure a high level of business performance while minimising and effectively managing risk.
  • We will register and resolve client complaints in accordance with our published standards of service.
  • We shall support and encourage our employees to help local community organisations and activities within their local area.
  • We shall operate an equal opportunities policy for all present and future employees.
  • We will offer our employees clear and fair terms of employment and provide resources to enable their continual development.
  • We shall maintain a clear and fair employee remuneration policy and shall maintain forums for employee consultation and business involvement.
  • We shall provide safeguards to ensure that all employees are treated with respect and without sexual, physical or mental harassment.
  • We shall provide, and strive to maintain, a clean, healthy and safe working environment for our employees.
  • We shall uphold the values of honesty, partnership and fairness in our relationships with stakeholders.
  • Our contracts will clearly set out the agreed terms, conditions and the basis of our relationship.
  • We will operate in a way that safeguards against unfair business practices.
  • We shall encourage suppliers and contractors to adopt responsible business policies and practices for mutual benefit.

4. Foundation

As part of our founding commitment to being a socially responsible organisation, TextAnywhere runs a series of charitable initiatives through the Foundation.

Our foundation ensures that part of our profit each year goes to good causes, that employees can take time out from TextAnywhere to work for good causes, and that we have programs in place to provide our services at special rates to not-for-profit organisations.

The Foundation is based on a simple principle: we donate 1% of our company resources every year to others who are working to make our world a better place.

What resources do we donate?

1% Profit: At the end of each year we donate 1% of our pre-tax profit to charities that we nominate at the beginning of the year.
1% Time: Each employee can spend three paid days each year volunteering with not-for-profit organisations in their local community.
1% Product: We provide our SMS services to not-for-profit organisations at reduced rates.

5. Responsibilities

This policy is fully supported by TA and MB Limited trading as TextAnywhere. All employees and subcontractors will be made aware of the policy and their responsibility in following it.

7. Monitoring and Review

TextAnywhere will monitor the effectiveness of this policy. The policy will be reviewed every two years.
