Can I bulk upload my customers’ mobile phone numbers?
Yes, TextAnywhere’s system allows you to bulk upload multiple mobile numbers into your account.
Firstly you need to make sure that your chosen mobile numbers are saved as a CSV file within Microsoft Excel, or similar spreadsheet application. Once your file is saved, log into your account and use TextCampaign to start to set up your SMS campaign. From here you will be asked to “Select CSV file” and once uploaded, it will then prompt you to choose which “column” contains your mobile numbers. This will then allow the system to import all the mobile numbers under that field name (column) and make them available for your campaign distribution.
If you would like to store your customers’ numbers as named contacts, rather than sending a one-off message to the CSV file recipients, then take a look at TextOnline rather than TextCampaign.
TextCampaign is great for sending a single message to a column of numbers in a CSV file. But each time you want to send a message to that list you need to go through the upload process.
TextOnline enables you to import your customers’ phone numbers and store them online as named contacts. You can then create groups of contacts and send SMS messages to individuals or groups of contacts.
When importing phone numbers and creating named contacts, your CSV file needs three columns of data, rather than just the one you would use for TextCampaign. For each contact you wish to create you need to have their first name, their last name and their mobile number, in that order, in your CSV file.
Once uploaded in to TextOnline, you can edit and delete the contacts as well as adding any new contacts, and manage any groups that you have created.
