What are the restrictions when sending messages to Austria?

International Restrictions

Due to a regulatory change for A2P Messaging in Austria effective May 1st 2016, Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) will only allow Sender IDs (TPOA) with the Austrian prefix +43/43 and will systematically block all international numeric Sender IDs.

As a consequence of this your international Sender IDs will be overwritten with a local Austrian Long Code starting from 18th of April 2016. This will ensure there is no effect on traffic being delivered.

Hence note that from 18 April 2016 onwards, dynamic international senders will no longer be supported, as it will be changed to a local sender.

In the case that support for dynamic international senders is required, kindly please let me know and we can register the numeric TPOA that you require.

Please note that the regulatory changes do not impact traffic using alphanumeric TPOAs.
