Is there a maximum number of recipients that the TextAlert can be sent to?
No. you can send the TextAlert to as many people as you like.
What happens if the email being converted to text messages is longer than 160 characters?
The TextAlert service will send the complete email message by converting it in to 153 character chunks. So, if the email message is 700 characters in length, five text messages will be sent, ensuring you do not lose any important information. Please note that from a charging perspective each 153 character piece of your message will be charged as one text message. So your 700 character message will be charged at 5 messages per recipient.
How do we pay for the messages?
You can either purchase packs of messages in advance, or have a credit account which we invoice you for monthly. Messages purchased in advance enjoy preferential rates, and are purchased securely online with a credit or debit card. Just tell us when you register which account type you would like to have.
